Brief: Music video (Animated Type + Imagery)
We were tasked with exploring the realm of creative motion graphics within typography design and gaining a solid understanding of animation techniques used in music video promotions. Our objective was to create visually captivating typographic compositions that seamlessly integrated with a selected audio track. To achieve this, we sourced a favorite song from YouTube, carefully cropped the chorus/hook part along with a snippet of a verse, and embarked on creating an engaging animated typographic video.
Segments
By thoughtfully incorporating different fonts, simple illustrations, motion, and sound, our aim was to bring the audio to life and captivate music fans. Our focus was on conceptualizing and meticulously planning a motion composition that would not only enhance the audio but also leave a lasting impression on the viewer.
Inspiration
Amelia Rahayu Murray, better known under her stage name Fazerdaze, is a New Zealand singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist.
I aimed to capture her raw energetic grunge aesthetic, it's what served as the basis for the visuals of my video. I am very pleased with the overall outcome of this project
