Experimental typographic pocket books

Élni szerettem volna a technikai lehetőségek sokaságával és a szabadsággal, amit a mai világ megad számunkra. Ennek apropóján illusztráltam rövid novellákat, amelyek sokkal inkább
a tipográfiai megoldásokra fókuszál. Az egész projekt kísérleti, de jelentőséggel bírt a tudatosság, hogy egy gondolat több oldalon keresztül is működőképes legyen, ugyanakkor ne legyenek olyan hosszúságúak ezek a könyvek, hogy ez az élvezhetőség rovására menjen. A manualitást,
a játékosságot, az expresszív, merész gesztusokat továbbvittem egy könyvtartón keresztül is,
ami összegezi vagy összefogja ennek az egész projektnek a hangulatát.

My main intention was to create a project which doesn’t quite fit in the traditional graphic design tendencies but doesn’t quite differentiate from it either. I’ve started thinking where are the borders, if there’s any, where the books still have functions so we can read and understand them, however we work with such design, font and page-setting which bring something new in publication design. Can the spontaneous, rebellious gestures fit in a system? Can we make new rules by breaking the rules? Can we make something not just aesthetically pleasing but valuable and instructive by doing visual experiments? I’ve started my experimental books project where I’ve been trying out different techniques in the typography and in the illustrations through different short stories. These experiments were manuals as well as digitals like painting, monotype, sewing, scanning.
