Since 2007 I have been the Senior Graphic Designer with the Victoria Ska Festival. My main goal as designer is to bring awareness of the festival brand to the general public and to increase ticket sales. My marketing campaigns have contributed towards the success of the festival increasing from a three day festival to five days, and have caused a huge increase in attendance, up from 2,000 to more than 50,000 attendees each year.

Facebook and online promotion have become a huge part of promoting this festival, and the page must be updated frequently and be appealing both visually and with musical content to support the music festival. And don't forget merchandise! Ska Fest has always had a fashionable line of hats, sunglasses, t-shirts and shoes all branded with the festival logo and always sell out.
