當人類以破壞海洋為利益捕鯨時，也是間接在摧毀自己。
When humans damage the ocean to hunt whales for benefits, they are at the same time indirectly destroying themselves.

虎鯨天性聰明而被多數海生館抓來表演、娛樂人們。
畫中的虎鯨失去了影子代表著直到死亡，牠都被困在這小小的水池裡。
Killer whales are so intelligent that they are often caught by aquariums to entertain the audience.
The killer whale in the picture with its shadow lost represents that it would be trapped in the small pool until it dies.

南冰洋的獨角鯨躲藏著船隻的燈光，意味著人類打擾到牠們了。
The narwhal in the Antarctic Ocean is hiding the lights from the ships, saying that they are disturbed by humans.

前人常使用鯨油製成油燈。而鯨油是從抹香鯨的腦提取出的。
Whale oil was used to make oil lamps, while whale oil is extracted from the brain of sperm whales.

鯨魚自由的穿梭在陸地上和人類社會和平共處。
The whale freely travels the land and lives in harmony with humans.

潛水艇下潛後沒有發現動物，代表著動物們不想被打擾。
No animals are found after the submarine dives, meaning that they don’t want to be disturbed.

燈塔照亮著的分別是鬚鯨與齒鯨，有著保育成功的意涵。
The lighthouse illustrates the baleen whale and the toothed whale, meaning the success of conservation.

海是鯨魚的家卻時常被路過船隻撞傷或是死亡。
The sea is home to whales; however, they are often injured or killed by passing ships.

Nowadays, the living environment of whales is manipulated by humans, like the fate of kites.

看似在曬日光浴的領航鯨，事實卻是大量鯨魚擱淺。
The seemingly sunbathing pilot whales are in fact stranded.

鯨魚受到了人為傷害而體力不支或是失去方向導致擱淺。
大海畫成鯨魚的棉被，意味著鯨魚無時無刻都有可能會在危險中喪命。
Whales are stranded because they are harmed by humans and thus become exhausted or lose directions.
The sea is painted as the quilt of whales, implying that whales may die in danger at any time.
