JEN, short for the full name "JENERATION" was a conceptual five member girl group revolving around the ideas of five robots becoming human at the age of 22 on the 22nd day. It's a symbolic project representing reclaiming youth for those who didn't have the privilege of having your stereotypical "teenage dream" due to things out of their control such as (but not limited to) mental illness, behavioral disorders, sexuality repression and other traumatic events, as well as "late bloomers" in general.
This is one of the three versions to the debut mini album "JDAY" which was labeled "JENCAKES". This version was meant to represent the main concept of the debut, this idea of celebrating your birthday and thus, the album is meant to unfold like you're receiving a gift on your special day.
