This year, I assisted Oleg Savunov in designing and printing his thesis book for his Stanford MFA program. Since his project revolves around Russian history and identity, we decided to incorporate the Soviet aesthetic into the book's design.
To achieve this, I focused on using iconic fonts like Literaturnaya and Journal Sans, which are closely associated with the Soviet era. By employing these fonts, I captured the essence of that time period in the book's visual presentation.
