Tenzing Sherpa's profile

Everest Base Camp Trek

Since the 1950s, the Everest Base Camp Trek trip has become the most popular trekking destination. Following the first successful ascent of the Mighty Everest in 1953 by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, a large number of trekkers signed up for the epic adventure. Over 10,000 trekkers from all over the world travel to Nepal each year to complete the EBC adventure. Compared to other treks in the Himalayas, the base camp walk has a little more difficult ascent due to its greater elevation of 5545m. Surprisingly, it is not as challenging as it may seem.
In addition, reaching the top of Everest is a difficult job that calls for advanced physical fitness and previous trekking expertise. Despite having the goal of reaching the Everest peak, many travelers are unable to do so because they lack the necessary climbing skills and respiration at the higher altitude. The big Everest base camp hike is open to people with a regular degree of health, a lesser amount of expertise, less money, and the desire to witness the great picture come to life.
