Estoy llegando

The intersection between pop and punk is a well known place for Amarillo Fiesta, the brand new Spanish alternative music scene sensation. I've been in charge of their last album's Creative and Art Direction. A complex project published in three efforts: two singles and the full album release.

The Singles Artwork: Front and Back

The first release: "Te Quiero Bien" is a love song. So we made a love story for the video. We wanted to make something with alternative look and feel so we aimed for a low budget / indie film aesthetic and made it a one shot. Infused in this on shot spirit we decided to display the credits in physical posters.

"Mark Ruffles Jamon" is a pretty fun song that mixes a lot of pop culture references, from Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Ruffles potato chips and many more. We wanted to match the songs essence with a simple, fun video.

Album Artwork

Our main effort is the Full Album release. The album artwork makes a statement to represent the band as it is its first long effort. The band is called Amarillo Fiesta, "amarillo" means "yellow" and "fiesta" translates to "party". Also, the album is called "Estoy llegando" ("I'm arriving") as a reference to a typical pre party message to a friend.

Band members are displayed getting ready for that "fiesta" (party). Also there's a main pop of yellow. In a meta design effort album info (name, songs, etc.) are displayed as two stickers, relating the album to real vinyl in reference to 90s music that the band successfully represents in their music.

For this main release I designed both merch and a poster for the band's tour.
