This is a short project I did for one of my illustration assignment in university. I chose to draw a section of The story of a Mother.
The mother wakes up from her sleep, realises that her son has disappeared. She run outside and encounters the Night
The Night agree to tell her which way Death has gone if only the mum sing all of the lullabies she has sang for her son
She runs towards the direction Night point her to and ended up in a dark forest. There, the shaking Thorn bush makes a deal with her to tell her which way Death has gone, if she give him a hug to warm him up.
The mother hug the Thorn bush branches close to her chest, his thorns poke into her flesh, warm themselves up from her blood.
