Tansad-
The surrounding area of a derelict building of 30 years. I began my project by documenting the area, thinking about the sounds, the materials, the objects and rubble surrounding the building, the smells and textures.
Once I had collected and recorded the space I began toresearch the history of the land.
This went on to inspire the final outcome of my publication, I discovered that the building was once a Tansad factory, ( office chair manufacture).
I decided to bind the publication using a Acco fastening commonly used in offices along with subject dividers.
I used a variety of opaque papers to create different depths and textures.
I designed the book for the viewer to take all of the information out and scatter around as you please.
2nd Publication, sheets apposed to a bound book.
Designed for the viewer to layer the sheets exploring the textures and patterns.
