This poem is about making your choice with no regrets, and no looking back. In my life, this poem has changed meaning with age. The first time I read it in school, I thought that Frost was sad because he took the wrong road. the second time I was in college, and I thought he had no regret, because he says, "And that has made all the difference." The poem basically tells us to be careful in making decisions in life. One should be very wise and careful while making choices as our choices shape our future. Also, once we make a decision, it is very difficult to change and start again. One bad decision could make us regret it throughout life. All this depends on the choices we make today. Any person who has made a decisive choice will agree that it is human nature to contemplate the "What it..." had you made the choice you did not make. This pondering about the different life one may have lived had they done something differently is central to 'The Road Not Taken."
