Theatre of the Absurd
In human societies, social divisions naturally emerge based on factors like wealth, occupation, and status. However, problems arise when discrimination and oppression occur, with one class exploiting another. Large cities intensify this dynamic by segregating social classes spatially, hence creating a power hierarchy. Achieving an equitable urban settlement becomes challenging as certain spaces hold greater value based on specific criteria. This thesis explores modern society's social hierarchy and its associated issues by utilizing a fictional parallel reality set in future Pakistan. Through the perspectives and psychologies of select characters, the work delves into the challenges faced within this alternative space.
