The "Number One" music video for Danish pop star Francis Bowie is unique in that it had to stand on its own yet fit seamlessly into a l arger video project in the near future. When I first heard "Number One," I was reminded of a rainy night in San Francisco and its sound, what I call "neo-retro," took me back to the days of "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "Love, American Style."
