San Francisco Aerials

Some early morning shots from the GoPro/DJI Phantom quadcopter rig, processed and composited with Lightroom and Photoshop.  I was flying from the courtyard area next to the Marriott Marquis downtown.  It was a bit foggy/overcast, but still a great morning to fly before heading to the office.

This first image is a 200+ degree horizontal panorama composited from 7 stills captured with the GoPro.  This panorama faces southwest (left) to northeast (right) and shows Yerba Buena Gardens, the Marriott Marquis, and a glimpse into the financial district towards the San Francisco Bay.
The next one is a vertical panorama taken from a higher altitude, facing west.  The bottom of the image is looking straight down (I'm one of the tiny dots next to the church), and the top of the image looks straight out towards the horizon.  This is a 4-image composite, and shows Yerba Buena Gardens, the Metreon, Moscone West Building (note the Apple logo for WWDC), the Marriott Marquis, the Intercontinental hotel, and views facing West from downtown San Francisco over Mission and Market streets.
The last is a glimpse of "old meets new", showing St Patrick Church, located directly next to high rise and contemporary buildings.
