These illustrations were created for an exciting wooden puzzle for children aged 3 and up to learn about the different stages of insects' life cycle.

While working on the illustrations, I combined anatomical features and cuteness in each insect character, helping children to visualize the different stages of the life cycle.
Each illustration is hand-painted in watercolor, scanned and digitized.
There are 4 characters in the puzzle: a ladybug, a bee, a stag beetle and a butterfly, each of which is depicted in 4 stages of development: egg, larva, pupa and adult.
