Battery research center
This project represents an ecological research center for batteries in the Ovčar-Kablar Gorge, near Čačak, where environmental degradation due to lithium exploitation is a concern. As an architectural manifestation of resistance and innovation, the center emphasizes ecological awareness and aspires to change energy patterns in the region. This facility is not just an architectural creation, but a symbol of ecological awareness and sustainable innovation.
The architectural approach to the project is based on mereology, where each of the 400 units of the structure contributes to the whole. Functionality blends with aesthetics through modular design, where different zones of the center have specific colors. This project tells a story of an architectural practice that confronts environmental challenges, strives for sustainable development, and creates innovative spatial and visual dialogues.
