We face daily situations in which light changes from one extreme to the other causing temporary headaches, feeling of dizziness and your eyes start to hurt you. For example:
waking up, sitting in the dark while facing striking light (TV, Laptop, etc), Going inside a
building from a sunny atmosphere.
I have decided to experiment the possibilties of using Bi-metal , a smart material that consists of two different metals strips, a mixture of metals similar to an alloy; for example: Copper and Zinc, Copper and Brass, Copper and Aluminium. Bi-Metal converts thermal energy into mechanical energy; when it is exposed directly to a source of light or temperature it bends away from the source.
The top photos show the side table version while the photos below show a version hung on the wall.
