Honey & Wes is the Cubeworld's latest transmission from Guatemalan Producer MNCVE since his deep futuristic debut EP Coco Cream. This New EP builds on MNCVE’s signature production style, one that's rooted in Deep Bassy sounds and ambient textures that always manage to sound exquisite. The EP takes its name from several experiences MNCVE had in the past that took him on a journey of sound and emotion, and there certainly seems to be a narrative structure to its sequencing. Opening the EP is the track "Legacy" which sets the mood, providing a brief atmospheric prelude that quickly settles into 2step garage beats mixed with deep sounds to provide a melodramatic groove. "Listen (Feat SKLPTR)" is more upbeat in its dramatic explosion of sounds, and its stomp style beats make the perfect setting for harmonious guitars magically placed by SKLPTRS unique sound. Topped with intricate vocals this track is a true test to the inner soul. Closing Honey&Wes is "NeedIt”. Also filled with deep and intense pulsating basslines, it has a more soulful vocal play and wraps up with a sweet house beat with great atmospherical arrangements.
