This project by the Inspired Jewellery design team was to create typography that was unique and contemporary in order to produce a new look for the Village Goldsmith website. 

The lettering was sketched over and over with adjustments along the way, this process was to ensure each word and each letter worked together as a whole. 

Once the final sketches were just right it was time to carefully ink them up using fine liner pens. 

Creating a range of painted textures came next by using acrylics with different sized brushes and varying thicknesses of paint. These along with the inked lettering were then scanned. ​The lettering was brought into Adobe Illustrator and converted into paths. Masks were made with the scanned in paint textures to return the typography back to it's handmade starting point.
