My intention was to design a booklet that has an interesting contour cut. 
The illustration can also be interpreted in its unfolded state, but at the same time when placed on a table or completely folded, the layers of the individual pages cover each other and show a new compostion.

The illustrations were created digitally with Procreate. I’ve used warm colours: earthy, sandy, brown tones characteristic to the Middle Eastern world. 
I’ve also chosen shades of water and white to get a pleasant balance in the color palette.

Both sides of the booklet are illustrated, and I’ve also placed a quote from tale between the two Sindbad characters. The older and wiser Sindbad is about to tell his story and give a new perspective to his poor namesake.
