"Everyone makes books."
Concept illustration inspired by the short story "The Bookmaking Habits of Select Species" by Ken Liu. The story is a compendium of the ways different alien races creates books: from cd-like wax tablets to porous rocks that simulate conscience.
I imagined how these objects would look in a museum, and
how well they would stand against the sands of time.
