EN The idea for this Gig Poster came up during the CriAtivo! challenge, promoted by the Ilustra S.A. course, mentored by the illustrator and designer Amaury Filho.
The proposal was to create a promotional poster for a classic rock band from the 80's.
Artwork must be inspired by a specific song by a band in the artist's preference, and the poster must contain the band's name, show date and venue. It could use the 80's aesthetic or something more contemporary and could not contain the title or lyrics of the song, to be something more conceptual.
For this project, I chose the song "Still Loving You", by Scorpions band.
The excerpts that served as inspiration were these:

Then came the idea of representing love through the figure of Cupid. Instead of using your typical bow and arrow, the chosen tool for the mission to bring down the wall, built by a proud and indifferent woman, is a double axe.
Will he be able to break through this barrier? Does she want this intervention of love to happen? Will she take the song's "persona" back?

PT A ideia para este Gig Poster surgiu durante o desafio CriAtivo!, promovido pelo curso Ilustra S.A., com a mentoria do ilustrador e designer Amaury Filho.
A proposta foi criar um pôster promocional para uma banda de rock clássico dos anos 80.
A arte precisava ser inspirada numa música específica de uma banda na preferência do artista, e o pôster deveria conter o nome da banda, data do show e o local. Poderia usar a estética dos anos 80 ou algo mais contemporâneo e não poderia conter o título ou a letra da música, para ser algo mais conceitual.
Para este projeto, escolhi a música "Still Loving You", da banda Scorpions.

Surgiu então a ideia de representar o amor através da figura do Cupido. Ao invés de usar seu típico arco e flecha, a ferramenta escolhida para a missão de derrubar a muralha, construída por uma mulher altiva e indiferente, é um machado duplo.
Será que ele conseguirá romper esta barreira? Será que ela quer que essa intervenção do amor aconteça? Será que ela aceitará o "eu lírico" de volta?
