I am pleased to announce an exciting new project aimed at delivering a professional-grade Power BI dashboard for the UEFA Champions League. This project aims to showcase my proficiency as a data analyst by providing comprehensive analysis and insights into the tournament. The dashboard will encompass 3 key areas: UEFA Champions League History, Season 2K22-2K23, and the Last Final between Manchester City and Inter Milan .
▶ For the historical overview and coaches gallery part, I will scrape data from Transfermarkt GmbH & Co. KG, a popular football database website. By utilizing web scraping techniques, we can extract information such as the Winners, Runners-up, and Coaches of each season. This data will enable us to create a dynamic visualization that showcases the historical records and achievements of the participating teams.
▶ Furthermore, I will collect season-specific statistics from FotMob, a reputable platform specializing in football-related data. By leveraging their comprehensive dataset, I will be able to obtain crucial metrics such as top scorers, save percentages, player ratings, accurate passes, and more. This meticulous analysis will provide meaningful insights into player and team performances throughout the 2022-2023 season.
▶ To enhance the visual appeal and highlight teams' success, I will utilize the Bubble Custom Chart by Akvelon, Inc. as a visual . This innovative charting feature will dynamically resize team logos based on the number of UEFA Champions League titles they have won. This captivating visual representation will effectively convey the historical dominance of certain teams and create an engaging narrative within the dashboard.
▶ Additionally, we will analyze the final between Manchester City Football Club and FC Internazionale Milano using data from 365Scores. By extracting relevant statistics and match details, we can offer a detailed breakdown of the final, including possession percentages, shots on target, corners, crosses, and other crucial match-related data.
Overall ,This dashboard will provide an in-depth overview of the Champions League, covering its historical context, a detailed analysis of the 2022-2023 season, and a comprehensive breakdown of the final between Manchester City and Inter Milan. The final Power BI dashboard will be structured in a one-page storytelling format, conveying information and insights in a logical and intuitive manner .
