This editorial piece, Close-Up, was all about taking a closer look at the brands who are responsible for rainbow-washing, and also highlighting the community that this issue affects.
I sought to bring my essay to life through the use of experimental typography, mark-making and photography, using it as a love letter to the LGBTQIA+ community and celebrating them as their raw and true selves. I wanted to show these brands the people they should be actually supporting.
I used all LGBTQIA+ models in my photography to ensure that the theme of celebration and inclusivity ran throughout my design.
