I recently offered up my services for free to help out a fellow photographer and a veteran of the Iraq and Afghan conflicts who was putting together a photo book to raise money and bring awareness to the plight of fellow veterans needing help when returning to the UK after experiencing the horrors of war.

 

The brief was very simple, and quite tight and time very limited.

 

Below are the options i produced and offered up. The first one is the final chosen cover, the second image was my favourite direct interpritation of the brief (retro vibe graphic design for an authentic surfer vibe).

The 2 images with photographs were using an image i had taken on a trip to Newquay last year, the aim of those covers was to communicate the idea of a premuim photobook.

 

Over all, considering how limited time was I'm happy how things turned out, and it's all for a very worthy cause.

It's nice to be able to give something back when you can.
