This poster captures the breadth of the Playoff Pro font family. This font has 36 styles and is proprietary to ESPN. It is used on all corporate communications, on-air, ESPN the Magazine, and countless other applications throughout ESPN.

 

I was responsible for the art direction in the design of this font in partnership with Pablo Medina, Cubanica Creative Director. The font was commissioned by ESPN Creative Director, Chris McClure. The font was designed and mastered by MCKL founder Jeremy Mickel. The original typeface Playoff was drawn and designed by Pablo A. Medina.
