We designed the concept of the Power Ark 100 electric carrier and the exterior of the first Power Ark 100 vessel, “X”.
Power X, Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo), which aims to realize the explosive spread of renewable energy, unveiled the Power Ark 100 electric carrier at the international maritime exhibition. During the Bali Ship 2023 held in Imabari, Ehime Prefecture, we were in charge of the concept design of the Power Ark 100 and the exterior design of the first Power Ark 100 vessel, “X”. The Power Ark 100 will be conceived as a ship that carries electricity using its onboard batteries to recharge and supply power. As its future form, we focused on its functionality and incorporating an attractive design. Solar panels are mounted on a flowing roof structure to symbolize renewable energy, and the beautifully divided roof is equipped with indicators that also serve as work lights, making the ship’s status visible to all, including the crew.
The first vessel, “X” is scheduled for completion in 2025. We will follow the design concept and image of the Power Ark, but with even greater possibilities, and is undergoing a detailed design study.

自然エネルギーの爆発的普及の実現を目指す株式会社パワーエックス(東京都港区)が愛媛県今治市で開催された国際海事展バリシップ2023にて発表した電気運搬船Power Ark 100のコンセプトデザインおよびPower Ark 100初号船「X」の外観デザインを担当しました。
Power Ark100は搭載されたバッテリーを用いて電気を運搬する船として構想され、充電と給電を行います。その将来の姿として機能的であることはもちろん、魅力的なデザインを落とし込むことにより、再生エネルギーのシンボルになるために流れるような屋根構造にソーラーパネルを搭載、また美しく分割された屋根には作業灯を兼ねたインジケータを搭載し、船のステータスを船員を含む視認できる全員が確認することができます。
また2025年に完成を目指す初号船「X」は、Power Arkのデザインコンセプトとイメージを踏襲しつつもより高い可能性を求め、詳細までデザイン検討を行いました。
