The Streets of Shimla, India

THE STREETS OF SHIMLA
...I was walking on the Mall Road, I guess the most touristic part of Shimla. After a while, I decided to turn the other way and walked down the stairs that I saw. I realized I had got to the area of the Lower market (Bazaar). There were no tourists anymore, just locals, mostly selling and buying completely different things. The sellers were looking at me and were probably a bit surprised. In a minute or so, I took my camera out and realized - there was soo much going on, I had to start taking pictures already. Luckily for me, people were very friendly (actually like everywhere in Shimla), and almost everyone was fine with me photographing them. Some of them smiled, or even posed for me..."
Today I want to show you Shimla - the capital and the largest city of Himachal Pradesh. It used to be the summer capital of British India.

I got to explore Shimla in March of 2023. It was a short trip to Himachal Pradesh that I decided to take after spending one month in Goa. After the touristy and kinda westernized (but still cool and hip) beachfronts of Goa, I teleported to a completely different life in Shimla. The place that is definitely less affected by tourists from abroad. Even though it does have visitors, but mostly from India. It is actually a well known spot for honeymooners.

At this project I want mostly focus on street life. Some photos have captions, that tell a bit about the people or a place whiach are at the pictures.
