Client: Scottish Ballet
For winter season 2014/15, Scottish Ballet has lovingly recreated founding director Peter Darrell’s 1973 production The Nutcracker. Peter Darrell’s magical world has been reimagined by Olivier Award winning designer Lez Brotherston, adding sumptuous layers of plush Victoriana and traditional festive fare to the original 70s production. The poster image is inspired by Brotherston's elaborate set designs.

I created a number of short films to promote Scottish Ballet's winter 2014 production of The Nutcracker. The first shows Scottish Ballet's technical department as they work on the thousands of baubles needed to create the iconic Land of Sweets.
Scottish Ballet asked for support with this Costume Appeal film. It shows the metres of glittering golden braid, swathes of silk taffeta and the thousands of sparkling crystals which went towards creating the spectacular costumes of The Nutcracker.
