Barbora was studying to be an architect when her mind started drifting elsewhere. An artist since childhood, she realized her notebook had become more doodling than skyscrapers. It was at that moment, she decided life as an architect was perhaps not the way forward. Drawing on a myriad of influences, she developed a unique voice and struck out as an illustrator. Barbora’s creative approach is to imbue her illustrations with depth and meaning. She draws the people around her, moods, and emotional states. She is particularly drawn to playfulness and color and enjoys bringing strong women to life in whimsical but relatable ways. Barbora is a creative polymath who finds expression through digital mediums, paint, animation, and sculpting. When she’s not drawing, you can find her somewhere out in nature or back in the city head first in a pile of vintage clothing, mixing life and imagination into creations that speak for themselves.
