I came across a post on a friend's WhatsApp status. It was a poster (which I did not like) charging people to come through for Bwire Ndubi as she raises funds for her documentary.

Bwire is a Kenyan actress battling a rare form of breast cancer, but she has refused to let the disease define her.

Instead, she's using her voice to tell her story and help others who are going through the same battle by doing a documentary dubbed "Scare the Scar". You can get full details about it here https://youtu.be/nL3JJ5h2RWs.

When I saw the poster, I immediately felt pushed to ACT. Such opportunities remind me why I was given the gift to create Art. To CHANGE LIVES.

I needed to create life giving artworks for this course. I got connected to Bwire's husband, shared my heart with him on what I wanted to do for them; next I had access to a drive with the raw photos to start working.

The result was a series of THESE FOUR ARTWORKS. It was one of the most emotionally charging week I've had in a while of giving my time to save a life.

I hope this will touch people's hearts and move them to ACTION. And that it will not just make a difference, but THE difference.
