ABOUT THE COVER
THE FORCE illustration is a re-reading of Arcanum 11 of the Tarot, it represents the integration of instinctual aspects to consciousness through the connection between the figures of the Woman and the Lion.
The integration is verticalized in an axis between the symmetrical face of the Lion and the posture of a triangular base involving the cat, the woman and her clothes rooted in the ground.
The cat, comfortably nestled on the dress, reaffirms itself as a synthesis of the settlement and rooting of the Being itself. He turns his gaze upwards as a sign of attention to the invisible aspects that surround the protective environment.
The triangle formed by the red garment supports the luminous focus on the Woman's face and hands. It highlights “feeling” as an essential aspect of the feminine. The hands indicate that she “listens to the heart” of the Lion, and gently “brings” intuitive reality into objective reality.
Upwards, the circle of the golden mandala around the Lion’s face establishes the connection between the heart of the Woman and the eyes of the Lion .
The scarred mouth, the imperious, penetrating look, boldly facing the viewer, tell us that this Lion is experienced. Indicative of ancestral wisdom accumulated in the unconscious.
The figure is still surmounted by the luminous sign of the “third eye”. The design of this lozenge symbol comes from graphic art of the Mapuche people, Chilean ancestry of the author of the book, which means: “eyes to see the soul”.
This geometric symbology also links the concept of Vesica Piscis present here as a compositional structure of the image.
The Vesica Piscis represents, in short, the integration between the spiritual and the mundane. Also called the seed of life, it is about the “germination” of a conscience that takes root and deepens to later blossom. And, due to its formal resemblance, it also defines the outline of an eye where the Woman's hand and head are hyghlighted in it’s center. The center of the eye that sees the soul.
