Metal Mono is a mono-width family inspired by phototypesetting — a technique in which subtle weight inconsistencies are the result of the over- or under exposing of the film or paper. With 5 styles, ranging from 200 up to 600, each font is at a different stage of its exposure. The typeface is part of a bigger branding project done for Metal, and serves as the bespoke face for the Antwerp-based photography studio.
