Onatario Dental Assistants Association
The Ontario Dental Assistants' Association (ODAA) was at a pivotal point in its history when Link Advertising was hired. The Association has just changed its name from the Ontario Dental Nurses and Assistants' Association to the ODAA. Now they needed a new image and a strategy to reach out to their members and the general public… we were able to help them do this and more.

SITUATION:

Internally, the Association needed to increase membership, retain existing members and help dental assistants overcome the low self-esteem associated with the profession.
Externally, the ODAA needed to educate the public with respect to the Association's pursuit of regulation for Ontario dental assistants. Dental assistants in Ontario are not regulated, a fact that threatens public safety.

SOLUTION:
"Sharing our Pride. Shaping our Future"
Link Advertising worked closely with the ODAA to craft this new tagline and an exciting new logo and brand identity was developed to reflect the enthusiasm, pride and self-respect that Ontario dental assistants have in their profession.
In the fall of 2005, Link began a bold advertising campaign for the ODAA to spread their message, engage with their membership, and bring a new level of awareness and pride to the dental assistant profession. Our integrated approach included completely redesigned and revamped website, journals and detailers complimented by targeted adverts in trade publications.

RESULTS:
Morale within the organization has improved substantially!
Increased awareness of the ODAA's messages concerning the need for Government regulation of Ontario dental assistants has put the issue on the agenda of the Ontario Ministry of Health.
ODAA membership has increased as has retention of existing members, and the website and Facebook page have become a social hub for dental assistants to learn and share.
