The First World War was fought in the upper part of Lake Garda between 1915 and 1918.
In recent years a group of adventurous researchers has plumbed the old trenches and tunnels in the area recovering a great deal of war and non-war material, soldiers' creations (trench art), clothing, jewels, etc... and collected it in the MU.RE. the recovery museum.
This small museum, now open to the public, allows you to discover a somewhat forgotten part of the history of the lake.
