Blackbird gathering food.  The cottage near Cefn Cantref was rich in wildlife.
The view across the western beacons from Castell Carreg Cennen
Wild flowers reclaiming the 13th century castle walls.
Dragonfly resting by the lake at Newton Hall.
Heron on the River Usk, scouring the water for fish.
Red Kite at the feeding station at Llanddeusant.
Brecon Canal.
Panoramic view looking north from the site of the Roman hill fort west of Libanus.  A good example of why clear blue skies are not always a landscape photographer's friend.  Texture in the sky adds interest and also produces patterns of light and shade on the ground.
Sgwd Yr Eira waterfalls.  Exposure of 0.6s.  A popular place to visit as the path goes right behind the falls.  Not an easy shoot as the light was stronger and higher than ideal; the best place to be was in the middle of the stream and those rocks are pretty slippery.  And yet, there's just something about the way the water carries the light.
