Matariki - street market poster

I designed this poster because I am interested in playing around with different visual elements and graphics through art and drawing. I personally really enjoy the visual aesthetics of street posters and markets specifically.
The location of Victoria Park and the band rotunda shown on my poster is a special place for me, and my local community.
The New Zealand Māori celebration Matariki is derived from a nine-star cluster seen visibly in the night sky. Matariki is also celebrated to welcome the new year and the passing of the torch from generation to generation, as presented on my poster.
