"My Artistic Power Struggle" Complete with Commentary

This 16-page booklet, My Artistic Power Struggle, features illustrations and a narrative of the influences behind the comic book characters that I had created from 1996– when I was in the fifth grade –until its publishing in 2006.  This project included my first use of Adobe InDesign.  Commentary about the pages follow.  Project size: 5” x 16” (per page).
[Back Cover/Page 16, left page] The characters featured include the Little Elf, Toback the Horror, Nerd Boy, Cyborg Man, Geekie, Flax Death, Dr. Mad, and Dr. Gellar.
[Front Cover/Page 1, right page] Cyborg Man, in his outfit from 2001 to 2008, jump kicks.
[Page 2, left page] Copyright and dedication page.
[Page 3, right page] Inner title page.
[Page 4, left page] The Little Elf attempts fisticuffs.
[Page 5, right page] Nerd Boy (left) and Geekie (right) ready for their opponents.
[Page 6, left page] Flax Death (bottom) and Toback the Horror (top) attack!
[Page 7, right page] Cyborg Man, in his 1996 outfit, high kicks.
[Pages 8-9] The 1996 version of Dr. Mad growls.

Due to time constraints, the illustrations on pages 10 through 15 were colored manually with colored pencil, scanned, and applied filters like Gaussian Blur and the Sponge Tool to render a digitally painted appearance like the previous images.
[Pages 10-11] The irony involves the most recent games from one of the franchises that inspired my works coincidentally including some of the character designs and plot elements from my series.
[Pages 12-13] The animation project mentioned was cancelled due to exhausting commitments like attending college full-time.  The actor described in this narrative is currently not one of the four actors who I am using for James Braxton’s facial features.  However, the actress described for Dr. Gellar is among the four actresses I am using for the character’s facial features.
[Pages 14-15] Two of my series are slowly gaining attention; new artwork is being created for Nerd Boy & Geekie and for Gintovo the Protector (formerly called Cyborg Man).
