A Privileged view

A Privileged view

My family gathers for dinner daily to watch my Nan cast new spells. It's frustrating. Thinking about whom she used to be and watching her mind slowly slip away. We've changed since being here. My Mum is now always sore and stressed, unable to escape the world imposed upon her. My Dad tries to help; however, it becomes too much, and he looks to run away. In that respect, he's like my brother, who turns to external substances to get out but only worsens it. It makes it challenging for my sister, who is growing up in that world. At least I knew something different before. And My Pop has it worst as he struggles to cope with Nan and feels guilty about bringing others into his situation. But God knows that I've been blessed with that privileged view.

This reflective illustration was created through tedious sketching, inking and colouring. Which led to what in my opinion was a positive result. Whilst allowing me to practice my storytelling.
