I went solo-travelling for the first time in 2019. The process of convincing my parents to let a sheltered 19-year-old out into the world with friends and strangers was understandably difficult. But serveral conversations (read: arguments), tears and one strongly-worded PowerPoint presentation after, my parents gave in.

They let me go to a trek to Kasol-Kheerganga with a travel company.

I packed my bag with my essentials, including a tiny sketchbook and my Microns (which I was experimenting with at the time). I was overjoyed, anxious, and awed by the people I met and the views I saw; and I wanted to document all of it.
My travel and art exploration continued after I returned to Delhi.

I was entrapped by this process—of going to new places and drawing my experiences.
