Experimental Typography: Arachibutyrophobia

Arachibutyrophobia: fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth. The word is used by Charles M. Schulz in a 1982 installment of his Peanuts comic strip[16] and by Peter O'Donnell in his 1985 Modesty Blaise adventure novel Dead Man's Handle
People with this phobia may develop it in response to reading or hearing stories, seeing scenes on television, or nearly chocking themselves. My experiment is to use bread and peanut butter to present arachibutyrophobia. The font was inspired by News Gothic.

I firstly cut out all 12 letters (except the repeated ones), and placed on a piece of bread. For the chosen of bread, I bought the white bread hope to make the peanut butter stand out. Then I put some peanut butter into a plastic sandwich bag, and cut a small hole at the end.

Secondly, I put a piece of white paper on the bread. While taking the bread away, the peanut butter were sticking on the paper. After taking photos of it, I found the oil can be seen at the back of the paper. Then I quickly scanned them in to my laptop.

The last step is to use a knife to spread the peanut butter.
