A Day In Osaka

Film

This new episode of ‘A DAY IN’ dives you in the deep heart of Osaka. Japan has always been a dream destination.
We visited and captured the sounds of Osaka. We started our journey in the Minoo Park, full of autumn colors, filled with natural sounds and temples. We dived straight in the city centre vibes where looking for the sounds of exquisite crafts, mouthwatering food and the making of traditional instruments of Japan such as Taïko. We also had the chance to learn the basics of Shamisen with Kaoru Kiyama, and to jam with a Japanese band called TR Innovation.

Big thanks to the Marriott Bonvoy and the W Osaka teams for the great partnership on this episode.

This video was shot with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K & 6K + Sigma FP with Sigma Lenses (18-35mm T2 & 35mm f2). For the Sigma fp, I used it on the Ronin S as it is super light, but mostly handheld in locations where we had to be low profile and super tiny setup. Sigma fp settings : 4K DNG paired with the Blackmagic video assist for bigger screen, with Samsung T5 SSD 1TB. Color profile was Off, it matches perfectly with the BMPCC. I used the 35mm f2 on the fp.
Edited and graded in Davinci Resolve.

Music by Parallelle featuring TR Innovation and Kaoru Kiyama
