Monogram, Ident and Brand Identity
Having to create a monogram for myself, I first looked into possible cultural references I can feel a link with. After some deep research and many tries in multiple directions, I've realized that a simbol contained in the lunar phases can be constituted by the letters C and A put togheter.
As I deepdived into theories around the moon, I discovered that the angular view of the moon sits at a 30 degrees angle from earth. I used this angle to rotate the monogram around its axes.
Having established the geometrical rules of costruction, I had my final version of the monogram.
Moving into the ident I constructed the animation starting from another moon theory, the one of its creation.
The main theory the science community believes in is the one of an astral body colliding into earth, which caused a massive blast that projected dexter into earth orbit, which then became earth satellite, the moon.
My ident mimics the creation of the moon, two astral bodies collide to create the moon-ogram.
I designed my business card around a paper with a rough texture, resembling the surface of the moon and its craters.
