Photoshop Portrait Project

The goal of this project is to create a complete self-portrait by seamlessly integrating an image of myself onto the face of a portrait painting artwork. I began by carefully selecting a high-quality master painting. The chosen artwork is Bernardino Campi's "Mary Magdalene," dated between 1522 and 1590.

Using the techniques taught in class, I embarked on the process of merging my own face and incorporating five other items that reflect my identity and interests onto the painting. The intention was to give the impression that the artist originally painted these additional elements onto the canvas, seamlessly blending them with the existing artwork.

To provide insight into my creative process, I have included images below that document the steps I took during the project. These images showcase the progression from the initial selection of the master painting to the final version of my self-portrait.
