El trabajo se sitúa en la perspectiva de reconstrucción
de memoria y rescate de imaginarios sociales
resaltando la importancia de la fotografía como
herramienta de evidencia y difusión. A partir de
una breve descripción de la historia y formación
de la ciudad, la monografía se detiene en la
reconstrucción de imaginarios urbanos en un micro
espacio a través de ejercicios etnográficos mediante
los cuales se evidencian las diferentes percepciones
que se tiene sobre la Plaza de Nariño. De este
modo se espera ofrecer una nueva mirada sobre
la importancia de los aspectos intangibles que
contribuyen en construcción del espacio urbano y
la identidad local en la ciudad de Pasto.

This work is placed from the perspective of memory
reconstruction and recovery of social Imagery, thus
highlighting the importance of photography as a
tool of evidence and diffusion. It starts with a brief
description of the history and formation of the city
and then it deeply explores the reconstruction of
the Urban Imagery: This is done in a micro space
through ethnographic exercises by which different
perceptions we have about the “Plaza de Nariño”
are demonstrated. In that way and through this
work, I hope to offer a new way of looking at the
intangibles that contribute to the construction of
urban space and local identity.
