Final portfolio collection based on the Thai festival called Loi Krathong and Yi Peng. Also known as the festival of lights. Thousands of oversized lanterns are released into the night sky after 3 days on floating handmade lanterns along rivers in honor of the water spirits. Inspiration was also taken from thai monks robes and the intricate knots and ruching details. Fabrics included were silk jerseys and organzas with rich taffetas and soft as air chiffons.
