'Entwining' Pedestrian Bridge | Spatial Concept

'Entwining' Pedestrian Bridge
Spatial Concept
“Entwining” is the concept of a pedestrian bridge combined with a park built above the Kenh Te canal, connecting the two banks of District 4 and District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City. The concept stems from allowing circulation that can avoid noisy roads in the area and having a place for people to escape from their busy urban life.

The bridge tries to engage the communication between people and people and between people with nature. On the bridge, there are multi-purpose spaces that activate bonding, living, resting, exercising, etc. The spirit of space is not to force users to follow a standard of use but to create space for them to use it the way Saigonese would do in a park, or right on their doorstep. F&B areas help take care of people's empty stomachs if craving. With a substantial covering system, the bridge can be used in the hot sun and rain.

The design of the park/bridge echoes the rustic simplicity of architecture, tarpaulin structures, front awnings, and the appearance of corrugated iron roofs in the surrounding area.
