Contemporary Jewellery Origami Earrings

Jewelry
Saxons of Oxford was founded and is owned by
Thinkable Studio, we design and manufacture contemporary jewellery.

The Illustrious collection was inspired by the art of origami. Initially designed with paper folding, the pieces were then transformed into precious metal. By remaining close to the initial inspiration, the finished products bring two art forms together.

The finishes range from high-gloss to matte in both 925 Sterling Silver and 18ct gold-plated.

The Luminary earrings started out as paper designs which were then modelled in 3Ds Max, after creating 3d print outs to test the designs. The cad files were sent to be cast in the traditional way. Each piece is finished either by plating, polishing or bead blasting, depending on the desired effect.
The 18ct gold-plated earrings featured in the October issue of British Vogue, with a nice little
description about the brand below.
We have now started to expand the Illustrious collection to include the Luminary ring which
is available in Gold, Silver the new oxidised finish.
