Concept

To illustrate through the use of typography how the Alzheimer illness progressively affects a persons ability to engage with their environment.

 

Solution

I have created a book titled 'Playing with your Mind' that is designed to be read by family, friends and carers of Alzheimer's sufferers. The colours have been specifically chosen to represent recent research that has identified that the blue spectrum is more difficult for sufferers to interpret, whilst the red page emphasises the positive impact of using that colour. The reader is faced with pages based on progressively challenging type to illustrate the gradual decline of the sufferer's cognitive ability.
