Kearny, N.J. a town of roughly 40,000 people, sandwiched between Newark and Jersey City, produced three members of the 1994 U.S. Men’s National Team–John Harkes, Tony Meola and Tab Ramos. In this video, Harkes returns to his hometown and traces its rich soccer tradition from to the arrival of Scottish mill workers in the 19th Century to the present. Watch the whole thing here.
